POSITIVE & NEEDLE AND SEAT CHOKES
- Size available from 1 13/16″ X 2000 psi to 7 1/16″ X 10000 psi.
- Pressure rating: 2000, 3000, 5000, 10000, 15000 psi and ANSI classes up to 4500#.
- Body/bonnet materials like carbon steel, low alloy steel, stainless steel, duplex stainless steel, nickel alloy and low alloy steel with 3mm finish nickel alloy cladded on wetted areas to suit different service conditions.
- Bonnet may be hammer union or bolted type.
- JVS Needle & Seat Choke can be converted into Positive Choke by replacing choke trim and top work assembly.
- Bonnet nut with vent hole for safety during servicing.
- Dynamic seal (stem packing) uses spring energized seals.
- Micrometer indicator barrel calibrated in 1/64″ ‘Bean Size’.
- In – line body or angle body options available.
- Centre to face distance can be manufactured as per customer requirement. However JVS has standard dimensions as per best industry practice.
Positive Fixed Bean Choke
- A fixed restriction. The orifice size is normally calibrated in 1/64” increments referred to as “bean size”. Hammer union type bonnet assit in quick change out of choke bean.
- Choke bean and bean wrench are to be ordered as per the production field requirements.
Adjustable Choke – Needle and Seat Type
- A variable restriction. The flow rate is adjustable from 0% to 100%. Typically a moveable stem is used to vary the size of the orifice or adjust the flow area.
- The extended seat is used as part of this type of choke design.
- This design is suitable for low to medium pressure drops, less severe service and applications that do not require positive shutoff.
